Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly hails from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's practice in law is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She concentrates her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division child custody battles, and child support arrangements. She also handles the post-divorce and enforcement of issues including step-parent adoptions as well as private party adoptions as well as concerns about child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning issues, such as trusts, wills and probate and estate administration along with commercial, contract, and civil litigation cases. Ashley has been a court-appointed mediator since the year 2019. She assists parties to resolve their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. Ashley mediates private disputes as well as court-appointed mediation for those who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate education at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received two Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was ranked among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an Editor of the Notes at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrates her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship journey, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown Maryland to work as a law clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her main focus within the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters which involved child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the by their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social injustice went beyond her legal profession as she was a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to raise awareness regarding human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her practice in family law, including divorce, custody and child maintenance as well as guardianships – as well as financial and estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy – and mediation.

Ashley created Wilburn Law Office, LLC, in 2023, with the intention of providing a personalized approach to every client's needs.
